What is the history of Diptyque?

Diptyque was born from the meeting of three free spirits, Desmond Knox-Leet, Christiane Montadre-Gautrot and Yves Coueslant. The adventure came to life in tune with their inspirations: nature, travel and art. At the dawn of the 1960s, in a time of great excitement marked by a burning desire for modernity and optimism, they imagined an artists’ House in their own image: free, curious, bold. Even today, we are still guided by this sense of beauty, love of nature and an insatiable curiosity.
