What does the name "Diptyque" mean?

Two syllables like a whisper that evokes imagination and elsewhere. A tribute to the two-panel paintings of the Renaissance, where subjects harmoniously converse, and a nod to the Greek root of the word. More than a name, it is also the echo of 34 boulevard Saint-Germain: two angled shop windows facing each other. 
Diptyque speaks of contrasts: the demand for craftsmanship and the evanescence of fragrance, the black & white against the colours, the oval that seals the two sides of the same bottle.
