How should I clean a candle jar after use?
When around 5 mm of wax remains or the metal wick holder becomes visible, it’s time to give your candle a second life.
Step 1
After the final use, allow the candle to cool completely so the wax solidifies and the glass returns to room temperature.
Step 2
To remove the remaining wax:
Place the candle in a heat-resistant bowl set in the sink.
Pour water at around 60°C halfway up the bowl, taking care not to let any water enter the candle.
Leave for two minutes, then lift the jar by holding it at the top.
Step 3
The wax should slide away easily with a rounded blade between the wax and the glass. The jar can then be washed by hand using a non-abrasive sponge and La Droguerie washing-up liquid, or placed in the dishwasher.
