What is the history of Diptyque?

Diptyque was born from the meeting of three free spirits, Desmond Knox-Leet, Christiane Montadre-Gautrot and Yves Coueslant. Their adventure was shaped by their inspirations, which included nature, travel and art. At the dawn of the 1960s, in a period of excitement marked by a thirst for modernity and optimism, they imagined an artists’ Maison in their own image, free, curious and audacious. Today, we remain guided by the same sense of beauty, love of nature and insatiable curiosity.
