What are the Maison's codes?
Each design element embodies a part of our heritage, written over decades and shaping the Maison’s visual language.
– The Oval
A symbol of art and history, a delicate frame that borders the freedom of creation. This emblem appears on candles, perfumes, and decorative objects.
– The Perfume Burner
At the heart of the oval, it evokes rituals of the past, releasing fragrant swirls and celebrating the craft of perfumer-storytellers.
– The Dancing Letters
Playful calligrams where the name becomes a drawing; visual riddles inspired by the fragrances, paying homage to Desmond Knox-Leet’s early work as a cryptologist.
– The Drawing
Each fragrance has its landscape, and each landscape has its fragrance. Always created in tandem, these drawings reflect the uniqueness of the Maison, inherited from the founders who illustrated their memories and sensations through panoramic sketches.
– Black & White and Colours
The deep black of the ink, vibrant in the dancing letters, meets the pristine white of the canvas that welcomes the artist. Together, they converse in a subtle play of contrast, of fullness and emptiness.
– The “O”
A visual and sonic leitmotif, it echoes through every Eau, symbolising both the first Diptyque Eau de Toilette and the shape of the oval. This letter appears in the names of all the Maison's fragrances.
