How should I clean a candle jar after use?
When 5 mm of wax remain or the metal disc becomes visible, it's time to give your candle a second life.
Step 1
After the final use, it is recommended to allow the candle to cool completely so that the wax solidifies and the glass returns to its normal temperature.
Step 2
To remove the wax:
- Place the candle in a heat-resistant bowl situated in a sink
- Pour water at approximately 60°C up to halfway, ensuring that no water enters the candle
- Allow it to stand for two minutes before removing the jar by holding it at the top
Step 3
The wax can then be easily removed by sliding a rounded blade between the wax and the glass wall. The jar may then be washed by hand using a non-abrasive sponge and La Droguerie dishwashing liquid or placed in the dishwasher.
