What are the Maison’s codes?
Each code embodies decades of heritage and shapes the Maison’s language.
- The Oval A symbol of art and history, a delicate frame that embraces creative freedom. It is the emblem found on candles, perfumes, and decorative objects.
- The Perfume Burner At the heart of the oval, it evokes ancient rituals, releasing wisps of smoke and affirming the craft of perfumer‑storytellers.
- The Dancing Letters Playful calligrams where the name becomes an image; visual enigmas inspired by fragrance, paying homage to Desmond Knox‑Leet’s background as a cryptologist.
- The Drawing Each fragrance has its landscape, and each landscape its fragrance. Always created in tandem, the drawings reflect the Maison’s uniqueness, continuing the founders’ tradition of illustrating memories and sensations through panoramic art.
- Black & White and Colours The deep black of ink, alive in the dancing letters, meets the pure white of the artist’s canvas. Together, they engage in a subtle dialogue of contrasts, of presence and absence.
- The “O” A sound and visual motif, echoing each Eau. It symbolizes Diptyque’s first eau de toilette and the shape of the oval. This letter appears in the names of all the Maison’s fragrances.
