How Should I Clean a Candle Jar After Use?
When about 5 mm of wax remains or the metal wick tab is visible, it's time to give your candle a second life.
Step 1
After the last use, it is recommended to let the candle cool down completely so that the wax solidifies and the glass returns to its normal temperature.
Step 2
To remove the wax:
- Place the candle in a heat-resistant bowl, which is itself placed in a sink
- Pour water at about 60°C up to halfway, making sure not to get any inside the candle
- Let it sit for two minutes before removing the jar by holding it from the top
Step 3
The wax then easily detaches by sliding a rounded blade between the wax and the glass wall. The jar can then be washed by hand with a non-abrasive sponge and La Droguerie dishwashing liquid or in the dishwasher.
